Faith in humanity

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

Somedays I get so annoyed at humanity and wonder why people are driven by all of the wrong reasons.

But somedays (and these days are nearly always sunny, bright, a little crisp, but nicely colourful) everyone seems to lift their heads, smile at strangers and hurry a little less. It is unbelievable what a difference it makes and the general good will nearly always propagates. The legendary big-issue seller outside sainsburys was on top form today as well with some ambitious dancing and a lot of compliments for the passers by. He insists that everyone has a really good day whether they buy the paper or not – and you never know, I might find something to read about in this one compared to the last issue I bought about the ‘pussy cat dolls’!

Declaration of intent

I guess it had to happen sooner or later. What with the blogosphere taking over the webosphere taking over peoples lives. So I have eventually started a blog too.

But seriously, it is mostly thanks to you guys and how much I enjoy reading about the things you are up to in your daily lives. We don’t see each other nearly enough and I am terrible at staying in touch so I think it is only fair if I give this a try. You never know, I might even find something important to say if I ever get round to doing something really meaningful like creating  a forum to support people’s personal campaigns or getting a real job to solve the energy crisis. Or even just coming up with some classic Dave one-liners.

As it is though you will probably just have to make do with some flashes of insight into my pretty standard over-stressed-have-bitten-off-more-than-I-can-chew life style. And believe me, I say style in the broadest sense of the term!

Album of the month

Much love,
Neil.
