Sidi kaouki surf club
Friday, August 7th, 2009It is a shame to have to say that I cannot recommend sidi kaouki surf club to anyone wanting to rent kitesurf gear or get kitesurf lessons. There appears to be no one there that knows anything about kites so they would be likely to lend you the wrong kite size etc. They are also down right rude to kitesurfers – or at least some of the staff, but the owner is very nice. Despite the fact we spend around £10 each in their (very nice) restaurant and have many friends renting full windsurf gear from them every day, they follow us around the building as if we are criminals. At least everyone that has their own kit. We get told off for using the showers (I was even forbidden from washing a cut). We are not allowed to use their lockers for valuables despite most being empty. We are not allowed to share lockers with friends that have managed to get one. And we are not allowed to use the changing rooms. Pretty much the instant we walk in we are greeted by a very sarcastic ‘can I help you’. There is just no need for it to be honest. We are customers too, and they are sure to loose custom if word spreads. Maybe the windsurfers are just jealous cause we can jump so high?
